Apollo is TIP trained and ready for his new adventure
Nice TIP gentled gelding in central IL. Will be a BIG boy! Standard BLM adoption of one.
Apollo is finally available for adoption, and can go to his new home as soon as adoption is completed! He is doing great in his training. He meets all TIP criteria-- halters/leads, picks up all 4 feet, and loads into either a ramp or step-up trailer. In addition, he is learning to stand for grooming, learning to yield and lunge, and is beginning to greet us at the trough at feeding time!
Details: Apollo is a 2-year-old, dark bay, Desatoya HMA gelding. He is already a stocky build and over 14 hands, and will likely mature to over 15 hands, so a very nicely sized gelding!
He has an active, playful personality, and needs someone who knows how to lead, or he will desire to be the leader. We believe that, in the right hands, this is going to be one seriously fun horse! He will thrive on having a job and regular interaction.
Due to his age (possibly just under 2), we have not ridden him, or even put weight on him, but we have worked on desensitizing quite a bit.
Applications are processed through the BLM office.
The horse is located in Petersburg, IL.
